SnoCo FC Co-Founder, Player and Event Coordinator Andrew Escalante organized the purchase of the jackets. Players each paid for their own in order to keep club costs down. Icarus FC submitted four tempting design options and the club community voted on the final choice.

Icarus FC submitted four designs to the Steelheads. The club community picked the first one, inspired by the Hex kits that the Fish wore often on their way to the 2019 WWPL Championship.

The 2020 season is up in the air due to the worldwide Covid-19 crisis, so the arrival of the jackets comes at a time when players, coaches and fans are hungry for something to celebrate. Photos started hitting social media soon after.

The Steelheads have announced much of their 2020 roster and highlighted new players, but the season has yet to get underway as we all deal with more important matters than soccer.

Still, it was like a fresh spring breeze to see the new jackets, which arrived as the weather began to turn sunny and reminded us that even though we are stuck inside, it is still really the time of year for a soccer season. And we will have one, one day soon.
